Presentation of the organisation.
Comrat Legal Clinic has been operating since 2003. On 20 September 2006, the organization was registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova (registration no. 3688) as a Public Association.
Mission of the organization:
Mission of the Legal Clinic: promotion and protection of human rights in the region of ATU Gagauzia, monitoring democratic processes and strengthening the professional level of their team.

The main activities of the organisation
Increasing access to justice for socially unprotected segments of the population living in ATU Gagauzia by providing free legal aid and increasing legal literacy of the population;
Improving the situation of citizens in the field of human rights protection by monitoring the respect of their rights and developing appropriate recommendations;
Informing and educating the citizens of the region about human rights and ways to protect them;
Protection of citizens' rights in the courts, including through strategic litigation;
Attracting and training volunteers in methods of legal education of citizens and involving them in the implementation of educational programmes.
Strengthening the institutional development of the organisation by improving the professional skills of team members
The main target groups of the organization are: socially vulnerable categories of citizens living on the territory of ATU Gagauzia.
- Elderly people,
- people with disabilities,
- unemployed people,
- single parents,
- families with many children,
- Roma,
- prisoners who have been subjected to torture and other cruel conditions of detention,
- women who have suffered domestic violence,
- victims of domestic violence,
- people with special needs,
- people living with HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and other diseases,
- victims of human trafficking,
- youth in Gagauzia.
