More and more inhabitants of ATU Gagauzia apply for assistance to the organization "Legal clinic Comrat". Only in January, a record number of people - about 45 people - applied to the specialists of the association through the public reception office, by phone or by asking questions on the website of the organization.  

One of the most frequently asked questions was about the fact that people had not received a receipt for the consumed natural gas for the previous month, as well as about the compensation for gas approved by the Moldovan government. Citizens expressed their fear that, not having received a gas receipt, they could be left without compensation. 

The issue of receiving allowances for the cold period of the year remains relevant - many beneficiaries have addressed this issue to our experts. Lawyers of the association explained what categories of people are entitled to compensation, what documents are necessary for this and how to properly process it. 

"The topic of social benefits is one of the most frequently asked by our beneficiaries. Speaking about the compensation for gas, we explained that the delayed receipts could not deprive them of the right to compensation and explained how to proceed," said Natalia Baurculu, head of the "Legal Clinic". 

"We are happy to help the residents of Gagauzia, to answer their questions and we hope that the number of beneficiaries will increase day by day, and with this the legal literacy of the population will improve," added Baurculu.
